Win­ter trans­forms from cold and grey to mag­i­cal and delight­ful at the annu­al Christ­mas Gar­den at the Wil­hel­ma Zoo! The grounds are trans­formed by hol­i­day illu­mi­na­tions: water­ways reflect­ing the loops of Christ­mas lights strung above, trees dressed in col­ored spot­lights, build­ings and gaze­bos dec­o­rat­ed whim­si­cal­ly, and fig­ures seem­ing­ly made only of light. As you wan­der the mile-long path, you’ll tru­ly feel like you’ve been trans­port­ed to a win­ter wonderland.

The Christ­mas Gar­den is open dai­ly from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. Tick­ets are sold with a spe­cif­ic arrival time, such that vis­i­tors’ entry to the gar­den is stag­gered across the five-hour peri­od. How­ev­er, regard­less of when you arrive, you are wel­come to stay and enjoy the illu­mi­na­tions until clos­ing time. Just be sure to dress warmly!
