Who answers your question depends on your status and your orders. Start with the first contact named for you, then go to the office for the topic. This page collects the offices, what they handle and their official pages.

Your orders, your sponsor and the responsible office always have the final word on what applies to you. Every fact on this page shows the official page it comes from and the month we checked it. Phone numbers and email addresses change, so use the linked page if a contact does not work.

If you are a service member

Start with your sponsor and your unit.

If you are a DoD civilian

Start with your gaining office and your HR office.

  • Employment and allowance questions: your HR office, the local Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC), and the Army’s Civilian Human Resources Agency (CHRA). The Housing Office page names CPAC as the first point of contact for housing entitlements and allowances such as TQSA and LQA.
