Stuttgart Pride – Christopher Street Day (CSD)
25 Jul 2026 - 26 Jul 2026

Stuttgart Pride includes several different events. Stuttgart Pride’s most visible moments are the parade and political demonstration on the last Saturday of July every year. Well over 100 groups march in the parade and thousands of people attend annually. While the parade focuses on political messages, it’s a family-friendly event where you can expect upbeat music and plenty of stickers and candy to be handed out. The parade’s route varies but usually includes the part of Tübinger Strasse close to the Gerber shopping center and finishes at Schlossplatz with a political rally.
That last Saturday and Sunday in July, a wide range of LGTBQIA+ organizations also set up booths in Schlossplatz and nearby Schillerplatz as part of an informational fair. In the weeks beforehand, there are a large number of cultural and political events around the rights and lives of LGTBQIA+ people.
In Germany, Pride celebrations are often known as “CSD” or “Christopher Street Day”, recalling when members of the queer community defended themselves against a police raid on the Stonewall Inn, a bar on New York City’s Christopher Street, the night of June 27, 1969.
