The Inter­na­tionale Trick­film-Fest Stuttgart (ITFS) is an Oscar-qual­i­fy­ing fes­ti­val for ani­mat­ed film that takes places every spring in Stuttgart and lasts for six days and nights. Found­ed in 1982, ITFS attracts up to 100,000 vis­i­tors and indus­try pro­fes­sion­als every year. Pro­fes­sion­als from around the world come to present their films as well as ani­ma­tion’s inter­sec­tion with games, visu­al effects, music, art, design, and archi­tec­ture and com­pete for prize mon­ey in mul­ti­ple com­pe­ti­tion cat­e­gories. The pro­gram always includes screen­ings of short and fea­ture-length films both indoors and in the open air, as well as spe­cial games zone and events for kids.
