SUMMARY:Stuttgart Pride - Christopher Street Day (CSD)
DESCRIPTION:Stuttgart Pride includes sev­er­al dif­fer­ent events. Stuttgart Pride’s most vis­i­ble moments are the parade and polit­i­cal demon­stra­tion on the last Sat­ur­day of July every year. Well over 100 groups march in the parade and thou­sands of peo­ple attend annu­al­ly. While the parade focus­es on polit­i­cal mes­sages\, it’s a fam­i­ly-friend­ly event where you can expect upbeat music and plen­ty of stick­ers and can­dy to be hand­ed out. The parade’s route varies but usu­al­ly includes the part of Tübinger Strasse close to the Ger­ber shop­ping cen­ter and fin­ish­es at Schloss­platz with a polit­i­cal rally. \nThat last Sat­ur­day and Sun­day in July\, a wide range of LGTBQIA+ orga­ni­za­tions also set up booths in Schloss­platz and near­by Schiller­platz as part of an infor­ma­tion­al fair. DESCRIPTION:The Stuttgart Fla­men­co Fes­ti­val was found­ed in 2010 by Cata­ri­na Mora and Miguel Ángel\, two fla­men­co dancers and chore­o­g­ra­phers. DESCRIPTION:The Cannstat­ter Volks­fest is the sec­ond biggest beer fes­ti­val in Europe\, sur­passed only by Munich’s Okto­ber­fest. Of course it is famous first for the numer­ous fes­ti­val “tents\,” which are more like halls\, where your entrance tick­et comes with two huge steins of beer as well as live music enter­tain­ment and a live­ly atmos­phere. For some fam­i­lies\, alle­giance to a par­tic­u­lar tent stretch­es back generations. \nThere’s far more to see and do at the Volks­fest\, though. Ven­dors offer every­thing from tra­di­tion­al gin­ger­bread hearts to hearty meat dish­es and local hand­i­crafts. There are car­ni­val rides and children’s games. There are dis­count­ed “fam­i­ly days” as well as a spec­tac­u­lar fire­works dis­play. SUMMARY:Fellbacher Herbst - Wine & Harvest Festival
DESCRIPTION:Fell­bach­er Herb­st is an annu­al cel­e­bra­tion of the wine har­vest that grew out of the local cel­e­bra­tion of Ern­ten­danken­fest\, the Ger­man Thanks­giv­ing for the har­vest. The Fell­bach Autumn fes­ti­val is sec­ond largest har­vest fes­ti­val in the Stuttgart region after the Cannstat­ter Volks­fest. \nThe fes­ti­val takes place on the sec­ond week­end in Octo­ber. On Thurs­day night there’s a wine tast­ing from local wine­mak­ers in the Schwaben­land­halle. Fri­day evening there is a flower com­pe­ti­tion and a stage show. On Sat­ur­day and Sun­day\, the fair­ground is set up with rides\, food and wine ven­dors\, and even a wine foun­tain. Sat­ur­day after­noon\, there’s a large parade (with a new theme every year!) fol­lowed by a speech from the may­or\, while on Sun­day evening there’s a fire­works dis­play.
